3. Cavan BEACON Overseas Premiere — Redefining the Benchmark for Zero-Carbon Intelligent Trunk-Line Heavy Trucks
As the global carbon-neutrality process accelerates and the green transformation of trunk-line logistics becomes urgent, new-energy heavy trucks face broad development opportunities. At this launch event, Wu Zongtian, President of BAIC Foton's Overseas Business Division, officially released the Cavan BEACON — a luxury flagship heavy truck for trunk-line logistics. With core advantages of cutting-edge technology, outstanding energy efficiency, intelligent experience and ultra-long durability, it sets a new global standard for high-end zero-carbon trunk-line heavy trucks.

Built on a native dual-energy platform compatible with both hydrogen and electricity, the Cavan BEACON establishes three core architectures — body, electronic/electrical and chassis. By matching different cabins, electric drive axles, batteries and fuel-cell combinations, it simultaneously supports pure-electric and hydrogen-fuel technology routes, forming 15 platform vehicle types and delivering an all-scenario new-energy solution.
With an ultra-low drag coefficient of 0.28, combined with a high-efficiency power system, scenario-adaptive control strategies and a highly integrated predictive thermal-management system, overall vehicle energy consumption is reduced by 15%. The 6×4 pure-electric model achieves a minimum consumption of just 115 kWh per 100 km; the 4×2 model as low as 105 kWh per 100 km; and the 6×4 hydrogen-fuel model consumes only 7.6 kg of hydrogen per 100 km. The pure-electric version breaks through a 600 km range, while the hydrogen-fuel version exceeds 1,000 km, removing the barriers to new-energy heavy-truck trunk-line operations. On replenishment and range, the vehicle carries the industry's mass-produced 800V whole-vehicle voltage platform with 1.44 MW ultra-fast charging — 6 minutes of charging adds 100 km of range, and 18 minutes takes the battery from 20% to 80%. Refueling with hydrogen takes 15 minutes for over 1,000 km of range. On durability, the traction battery's B10 life reaches 2 million km, while both the fuel cell and electric drive axle exceed 1.6 million km.
