It has already established sales and service networks in nearly 20 European markets and plans full coverage of major European markets by 2028. On the service parts side, one regional parts center has been set up in Germany, with national parts warehouses in 17 countries including the UK, France and Hungary. Service outlets across Europe now exceed 300, with accelerated deployment planned together with European partners to improve coverage and capability.
R&D and manufacturing: Foton plans one European local technical center to focus on local demand mining and product definition, aims to achieve local assembly in Europe by 2028 to ensure complete vehicles and components fully meet EU regulations, and intends to establish more local subsidiaries to support European customers.
Upholding long-termism and win-win co-prosperity, BAIC Foton continues to support the green transformation of European transport with holistic low-carbon product solutions. By integrating local industrial resources and connecting full-industry-chain partners, it aims to build a sustainable smart-logistics ecosystem — while pursuing high-quality growth, staying embedded in local communities and cultures, and co-creating the future of the logistics industry with partners worldwide.
Cavon BEACON Makes Overseas Debut — Redefining the Smart Zero-Carbon Line-Haul Truck
As the global carbon-neutrality agenda accelerates, the green transformation of line-haul logistics has become urgent and new-energy heavy trucks face vast opportunities. At the launch event, Wu Zongtian, President of BAIC Foton's Overseas Business Division, officially unveiled the Cavon BEACON — a luxury flagship heavy truck for line-haul logistics that sets a new global standard for high-end zero-carbon trucks through cutting-edge technology, superior energy efficiency, intelligent experience and ultra-long durability.

Built on a native dual-energy platform compatible with both hydrogen and electricity, the Cavon BEACON restructures three core architectures — body, electronic/electrical and chassis. By pairing different cabins, electric drive axles, batteries and fuel cells, it supports both BEV and hydrogen fuel-cell routes across 15 platform variants, forming a full-scenario new-energy solution.
An ultra-low drag coefficient of 0.28, combined with a highly efficient powertrain, scenario-adaptive control strategies and a highly integrated predictive thermal management system, reduces overall energy consumption by 15%. The 6×4 BEV model achieves a minimum consumption of just 115 kWh/100 km, the 4×2 model 105 kWh/100 km, and the 6×4 hydrogen model only 7.6 kg/100 km. Range exceeds 600 km for the BEV version and 1,000 km for the hydrogen version — breaking through the barriers to new-energy heavy-truck line-haul operations.
On replenishment, the truck uses the industry's mass-produced 800V whole-vehicle voltage platform with 1.44 MW megawatt charging: six minutes of charging adds 100 km of range, and 20%–80% takes just 18 minutes. Fifteen minutes of refueling delivers more than 1,000 km of range. For durability, the traction battery reaches a B10 life of 2 million km, while the fuel cell and electric drive axle both exceed 1.6 million km.

On intelligent safety, the truck carries a new-generation ICA/HWP combined driver-assistance system offering 22 intelligent driving assistance functions, near-complete coverage of highway assisted-driving scenarios, and an abnormal-scenario response success rate above 99%, with expandable L4 autonomous driving capability to match future smart-logistics trends.
The cab has been comprehensively upgraded around space: a cabin offering a comfortable posture, wide visibility and controls within reach, allowing seamless switching between driving and rest. A four-point floating cab suspension cuts whole-vehicle vibration by 25% and improves comfort by 20%, effectively reducing long-haul fatigue. Optimized driving posture raises comfort by 10% and safety visibility by 37%. A first-in-industry automotive AI voice large model works with a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch central control screen, supporting phone mirroring and multi-screen interaction. Combined with an industry-low floor, an extra-wide bunk and generous storage, the truck balances operational convenience with rest comfort, creating a human-centric mobile living space.
