Double Debut at Guangzhou and Hannover: Foton Brock's Lingyun Series Unlocks a New Paradigm for Urban Sanitation

From September 17 to 19, the 2026 Guangzhou International Smart Sanitation and Cleaning Equipment Exhibition was held at the Poly World Trade Center Expo in Guangzhou. Organized by the Guangzhou Sanitation Industry Association under the theme "Policy Guidance, Technology Drive, Market Empowerment," the show gathered more than 400 upstream and downstream sanitation and cleaning companies from across China and attracted nearly 60,000 professional visitors for exchange and procurement.
At the Guangzhou venue, Foton Brock brought three heavyweight products — the Lingyun street sweeper, the Lingyun compressed garbage truck and a construction and decoration waste truck — systematically presenting a complete package solution for new-energy sanitation equipment.
In parallel, the 2026 IAA Transportation fair opened in Hannover, Germany. BAIC Foton officially unveiled its Europe strategy, reached the milestone of its 13-millionth vehicle delivered worldwide, and saw its low-entry sanitation truck appear on the overseas stage at the same time. With two major exhibitions driving momentum simultaneously at home and abroad, BAIC Foton demonstrated its globalized technical strength.

Executive View: Sanitation Equipment Is Shifting to New Energy, Intelligence and a Human-Centric Approach
Lei Lindong, Deputy General Manager of Foton Loxa and General Manager of the Foton Brock Marketing Center, was invited to attend and deliver a speech at the Guangzhou opening ceremony. He noted that sanitation equipment is accelerating its transformation toward new energy, intelligence and human-centric design. Building on BAIC Foton's deep global technology accumulation in commercial vehicles, the brand continues to cultivate the domestic urban sanitation market while actively expanding overseas. Foton Brock will focus on the real pain points of urban sanitation governance and use hard product capability to support the industry's green and low-carbon upgrade.
Lingyun Street Sweeper: 1.2 Tonnes Lighter, 72 dB Quieter, 20% Longer Per Cycle
On the exhibition floor, the Lingyun street sweeper carried out a live working demonstration during the sanitation vehicle roadshow, using real-scene operation to showcase the quiet performance and maneuverability of a low-entry sweeper, drawing crowds of guests to stop and observe.
The vehicle achieves a total weight reduction of 1.2 tonnes, with working energy consumption as low as 21 kWh per hour. Fitted with a self-developed three-dimensional-flow silent fan, its operating noise drops to just 72 decibels — making it suitable for nighttime cleaning in residential areas. A 4.2-metre short wheelbase combined with a minimum turning radius of under 8.25 metres, paired with a 410 mm "golden" low-entry step, balances access through old-town lanes and alleys with operator comfort. In addition, the sewage and fresh-water tanks offer a combined capacity of 10 cubic metres, extending single-operation duration by 20% versus conventional models.
This low-entry street sweeper is also one of the core models BAIC Foton displayed at the Hannover motor show, exporting human-centric sanitation equipment technology to global markets.

Compressed Garbage Truck and Construction Waste Truck: Closing the Loop on Secondary Pollution
Exhibited alongside it, the Lingyun low-entry compressed garbage truck is equipped with a 21-megapascal multi-stage back-pressure, bidirectional compression system. Its 14-cubic-metre high-capacity body improves loading capability by 15%, while operating noise is held below 70 decibels. A 700-litre oversized integrated sewage tank eliminates, at source, the secondary pollution caused by leachate dripping during waste transfer.
The construction and decoration waste truck is engineered for hauling engineering spoil, slurry and demolition waste. It offers one-truck-multiple-boxes capability, efficient tipping, low power consumption and low noise, and is fitted with a multimedia real-time monitoring system — meeting the comprehensive demands of urban construction waste removal for efficiency, environmental protection and regulatory compliance.
From a Chinese Platform to Global Competition
During the exhibition, Foton Brock invited numerous guests to experience the Lingyun product series firsthand. The Lingyun series, launched by Foton Brock this past April, is a new-energy sanitation equipment family built on a truck low-entry architecture: the cab entry height is only 410 mm above the ground, while the interior vertical space reaches 1,930 mm with a fully flat floor. The range spans five categories — street sweepers, compression trucks, washing trucks, dust-suppression trucks and kitchen-waste trucks.
The series has already achieved batch deliveries in Beijing, Shandong, Hebei, Jiangsu and other regions, using a new-energy, intelligent product matrix to support refined urban sanitation governance and green, low-carbon transition in cities across China.
Its appearance at the Hannover motor show signals that this independently developed low-entry sanitation technology has stepped beyond China's borders to compete in the global sanitation equipment market — an important practical step in executing BAIC Foton's Europe strategy, and one that resonates directly with the milestone of the company's 13-millionth vehicle delivered worldwide.

Outlook
Looking ahead, Foton Brock will continue to pursue a full-stack in-house R&D path, delivering green and human-centric sanitation equipment for the refined needs of city services. Rooted in China and deployed globally, and supported by BAIC Foton's globalisation platform, the company will keep driving the green and low-carbon transformation of urban sanitation at home and abroad.
