Double Debut at Guangzhou Sanitation Expo and IAA Hannover: Foton Brock's Lingyun Series Unlocks a New Paradigm for Urban Sanitation Governance
From September 17 to 19, the 2026 Guangzhou International Smart Sanitation and Cleaning Equipment Exhibition was grandly held at the Poly World Trade Center Expo in Guangzhou. Organized by the Guangzhou Sanitation Industry Association under the theme of "Policy Guidance, Technology Drive and Market Empowerment," this year's event brought together more than 400 upstream and downstream exhibitors of the sanitation and cleaning industry and attracted nearly 60,000 professional visitors for on-site exchange and procurement. At the Guangzhou venue, Foton Brock presented three heavyweight products — the Lingyun road sweeper, the Lingyun compressed garbage truck and a construction and decoration waste truck — systematically demonstrating a complete package solution for new-energy sanitation equipment. In the same period, IAA Transportation 2026 opened in Germany. BAIC Foton officially unveiled its Europe strategy, achieved the milestone of delivering its 13-millionth vehicle worldwide, and simultaneously introduced its low-entry sanitation truck to an overseas audience. With twin pushes at home and abroad, BAIC Foton underlined its globalized technical strength.
Lei Lingdong, Deputy General Manager of Foton Loxa and General Manager of the Brock Marketing Center, was invited to attend the opening ceremony of the Guangzhou exhibition and delivered a speech. He noted that sanitation equipment is accelerating its transformation toward new-energy powertrains, intelligent functions and human-centered design. Building on BAIC Foton's deep global technical accumulation in commercial vehicles, the brand continues to cultivate the domestic urban sanitation market while actively expanding overseas. Foton Brock will focus on the real pain points of urban sanitation governance and use hardcore product strength to support the industry's green and low-carbon upgrade.
On the exhibition floor, the Lingyun road sweeper performed a live working demonstration during the sanitation vehicle roadshow, using real-scenario operation to showcase the quiet performance and maneuverability of a low-entry sweeper, drawing many delegates to stop and observe. The vehicle achieves a 1.2-tonne weight reduction, with working energy consumption as low as 21 kWh per hour. Its self-developed three-dimensional-flow silent fan keeps working noise as low as 72 decibels, making it suitable for nighttime cleaning in residential areas. A short 4.2-metre wheelbase combined with a minimum turning radius of under 8.25 metres, together with a 410 mm "golden" low-entry step, balances access through old-town lanes with operator comfort. In addition, the sewage and fresh water tanks offer a combined capacity of 10 cubic metres, extending single-cycle working time by 20% over conventional models. This low-entry sweeper is also one of the core models BAIC Foton displayed at IAA Transportation, exporting human-centered sanitation equipment technology to global markets.
The Lingyun low-entry compressed garbage truck exhibited alongside it is equipped with a 21-megapascal multi-stage back-pressure bidirectional compression system. Its 14-cubic-metre high-capacity body improves loading capacity by 15%, keeps working noise within 70 decibels and carries a 700-litre oversized integrated sewage tank that eliminates secondary pollution from dripping and leakage during waste transfer at the source. The construction and decoration waste truck, meanwhile, is designed for engineering spoilage, slurry and demolition waste removal, offering advantages such as one-truck-multiple-boxes operation, efficient tipping, low electricity consumption and low noise. Fitted with a multimedia real-time monitoring system, it fully meets the efficiency, environmental and compliance requirements of urban construction waste removal.
During the show, Foton Brock invited numerous guests to experience the Lingyun product series. Launched in April of this year, the Lingyun series adopts a low-entry truck design: the cab entry height is only 410 mm, while the interior vertical space reaches 1,930 mm with a fully flat floor. The series covers five categories — road sweepers, compressed garbage trucks, washing trucks, dust suppression trucks and kitchen waste trucks — and has already achieved batch deliveries in Beijing, Shandong, Hebei and Jiangsu, supporting refined urban sanitation governance and green, low-carbon transformation with its new-energy and intelligent product matrix. Its appearance at IAA Transportation marks this independently developed low-entry sanitation technology stepping beyond China's borders to compete in the global sanitation equipment market — an important practice in delivering BAIC Foton's Europe strategy, and one that resonates with the milestone of the company's 13-millionth vehicle delivered worldwide.
